Event Description
The 6th Edition DRCC KOM CHALLENGE 2022 is also one of those few events that allows cyclist to ride up one of the most scenic cycling routes in Malaysia in a safe and controlled environment. Enjoy the spectacular landscape and fresh air leading up to the Orang Asli Village along way to the Jln.Simpang Pulai-Lojing.
This event isn’t about bike cycling. It serves as a venue for cyclist from Malaysia and abroad to come together to do what they love best-just riding their bikes. Whether you ride hard or whether you ride easy, it doesn’t matter. Ultimately, it’s about the camaraderie that all cyclist share in completing a grueling hors categories climb together. It is this collective suffering that brings us together and binds us as a whole.
No shoddy road repairs, no traffic lights and junctions. Just smooth tarmac all the way up, punctuated by great scenery and fantastic weather- all the ingredients you need for a perfect ride to remember.
Like any other major cycling event, the DRCC KOM Challenge 2022 also helps in spurring the local economy as thousands of cyclist and their families and friends descend on Ipoh and Cameron Highlands for the event. For many who participate, the race serves as a gateway to the treasure trove of tourist attraction in the state of Perak and Pahang.

Arahan Undang-undang dan Peraturan / Format Pertandingan
Rules and Regulation / Race Format
• Hanya peserta yang melepasi garisan penamat mengikut kategori akan menjadi pemenang / The participant who crosses the finishing line first ahead of his or her category is the category winner.
• Pemenang setiap kategori akan dinilai dengan menggunakan ‘Timing Chip’ /
Each category winner will be determined by using the ‘Timing chip’ method.
• Laluan Berbukit sehala sejauh 59 km termasuk 4km Neutral Zone yang bermula dihadapan Symphony Suites Hotel, Ipoh dan akan tamat di Blue Valley, Cameron Highlands / The race has a one way climbing distance of 59km including the 4km Neutral Zone. It starts at Symphony Suites Hotel,Ipoh and ends at Blue Valley, Cameron Highlands.
• Pelumba akan dilepaskan serentak bagi semua kategori bagi setiap jenis basikal. / All categories will be flagged off simultaneously.
Topi Keledar / Helmets
• Semua pelumba diwajibkan memakai topi keledar (hard shell helmet) semasa
pertandingan / All riders are required to wear hard shell helmets.
Spesifikasi Basikal / Bicycle Specifications
MTB
• Semua jenis basikal MTB (26 ers, 27.5 ers dan 29 ers) adalah dibenarkan / All types of MTB bicycles are allowed (26 ers, 27.5 ers and 29 ers).
• Semua jenis tayar MTB Offroad dan slick dibenarkan / All types of off-road and slick MTB tires are allowed.
• Semua jenis Suspension Fork dan Rigid Fork dibenarkan / All types of suspension forks and rigid forks are allowed.
• Penggunaan frame MTB sahaja dibenarkan. / Only MTB frames are allowed. FATBIKE
Categories
i) Men Open Elite 16 years old and above
#ProRider or winner 1st,2nd and 3rd ranking at Fat Bike events/Race 0n 2017,2018 or 2019.
ii) Men Open Amateur 16 years old and above

Arahan Keselamatan / Safety Order
• Marsyal bermotosikal berhak memberi amaran kepada mana-mana pelumba yang tidak mengikut peraturan keselamatan pertandingan dan Undang-undang Jalanraya Malaysia / Marshals on motorcycles are entitled to warn any cyclist who does not follow the rules of Event Safety Order and the Malaysian Road Law.
• Penganjur tidak akan bertanggung jawab sepenuhnya diatas sebarang kehilangan, kerugian, kerosakan dan kemalangan ketika dalam masa perlumbaan berjalan. /Organizer are not responsible for any loss, harm, damage and accidents when the race runs.
• Peserta tidak dibenarkan melintasi di laluan bertentangan dengan arah laluan Kejohanan/Rider are not allowed to ride a cross to the opposite lane of the race direction.
• Hanya satu lorong laluan sahaja dibuka untuk kejohanan ini/Only one lane is open in this tournament.
• Peserta dibawah umur 18 tahun perlu mendapatkan persetujuan dari Ibubapa atau penjaga / Participant under the age of 18 years old must be obtain approval from their parent or guardian.
